I was so thrilled today to meet all the French Immersion Kindergarten students who will be attending Dixon this year! They are really a lovely bunch of students. Today I met the “Group A” students from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in my room and then later in the afternoon I met the “Group B” students.
The students played so well at a number of different centres (play dough, Lego, whiteboards, puzzle, cars, drawing, and house centres). After cleaning up we had a short “carpet time” where we talked about some of the things we’ll be doing in Kindergarten. Then, we talked a bit about being Dixon Dragons. Each student received a rubber bracelet with the words “Dragon Power” written on it.
Here’s a picture of the bracelet and my own stuffed dragon sporting his very own bracelet.
I’m looking forward to another fun day tomorrow!
