Hello Weekend!

Wow, what a day.  I think we were all ready for the weekend today!!  Fridays + inside days + Bake Sale + Halloween excitement = crazy.  How’s that for some Kindergarten math!

Amidst the chaos, we still managed to have a productive day.  We did the first part of our pumpkin craft.  We are making pumpkin bats.  Students chose whatever colour they wanted and painted a pumpkin during playtime.  Here’s a few samples I made tonight.

Monday, we will finish our bats with our big buddies.  They look pretty spooky!

Between recess and lunch, we did calendar, practiced our songs, and we made a ghost decoration for the classroom.  After lunch we had our ‘quiet’ time, then we did an activity with the pumpkin life cycle.

After school I did a little bit of extra decorating for Monday.  I hope it will be a fun-filled day for everyone.  I’m looking forward to seeing all the students’ costumes on Monday.  I hope you can make it to our Open House (from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m.).

I’ll be sending you a newsletter via e-mail at some point this weekend.

See you Monday.
