How Full is Your Bucket??

Today was a fun day…

We accomplished a lot today.  Here’s what we did:

  • We started learning about our letter/sound of the week ‘e’
  • We did the ‘e’ page in our phonics books
  • We played
  • We had our snacks (it was an inside day at recess)
  • We had gym
  • We did calendar
  • We worked with the whiteboards writing different letters and making small words.  I would say a sound and students would write the corresponding letter.  We did words like ‘le’, ‘ma’, and ‘si’.  I was really impressed with how well everyone did.
  • We ate lunch (it was an inside day at lunch too!)
  • We had cloud time
  • I gave out a few ‘sparkles’ (yellow pieces of paper with a description of a sparkle I saw a student do in class).  I’m going to try to do a few a day.  Keep your eye out for them.
  • We read the story How Full is Your Bucket
  • We talked about ways we could fill each others’ buckets
  • We learned a new song “Une colombe” by Celine Dion
  • We did a dove craft

Here’s the YouTube video of “Une colombe”:
