Thursday at school…

Hi there! (please note as I write this the students are having a blast in the gym with our vice-principal Mme Borthwick!)

It has been a busy week so far this week and I just wanted to give everyone an update on what we’ve been working on. This week we started our first sound of the week. We will be studying the letter S and the sound it makes all week. Students have been busy working hard in their phonics books practicing both printing the letter S as well as other phonics activities relating to the sound of the week.

We have also been talking a lot about fall and the changes we are seeing outside. I am attaching an audio recording of the students practicing their greeting in French. Have a listen! We practiced this every morning and it is a goal for every student that they be able to greet someone and ask how they are doing in French.

And, here is Division 15 singing our welcome song!

Today I also showed students how to access some other French songs that they may enjoy listening to!  Look at the tabs above for the one called “French Songs”!

Have a great Thursday everyone!
