Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Today was only a half day at school and it went by very quickly!

First thing in the morning we did our daily calendar routine with our special helper leading us through.  Next we had a very special visitor come and help us with an awesome craft for Chinese New Year.  It was a red dragon made out of egg cartons.  I think the dragons turned out great despite some minor hiccups and a hot glue gun burn on my wrist (oops!).  Students will take their dragons home tomorrow.

After recess, we usually have gym but since Mr. Ferguson was away today, we played in the classroom while I did the students’ book exchange.

It was time to go home already!

This afternoon the Dixon staff talked about some very important topics relating to social responsibility.  We decided on a few areas we want to focus on as a staff to improve our school community.  The two areas are RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY.   Stay tuned for more on these topics!

For your information…

T-shirt sales have been extended if you were still interested in purchasing t-shirts or bracelets.  I believe the last day is now the 26th of January.

See you tomorrow.
